Tender notification company Reed Information Services, announced today the launch of its new brand, TendersConnect.
TendersConnect is the new name for Reed's existing range of tender notification services, available on the Internet, by email, and by fax.
The new name, TendersConnect, better reflects what our company actually does for our clients – connects them to tenders
, said Audrey Coutinho-Anand, General Manager of Reed Information Services.
With so much competition in the tender notification market, we know that having a brand that accurately represents what your product does is invaluable
, Ms Coutinho-Anand added.
The company is today launching a new-look website at www.reedinfoservices.com.au which showcases the new brand.
Today's launch also coincides with the company's move into the Asian tender notification market. This market has traditionally been dominated by local tender services, but now that an Australian-based service provider is present in the region, Australian and New Zealand businesses can easily access information on contracts that are calling for tenders in Asia.
Reed Information Services was formed in January 2005 after the acquisition of existing tender notification companies Australian Tender Centre, TTi Group, and Tenderseek.biz by Reed Elsevier, the global information and publishing group.
Reed Information Services provides notifications of tenders and contracts to its clients across Australia, New Zealand and Asia. The tender notification market in this region represents over 50,000 tenders per year worth over $40 billion.

The global information and publishing group Reed Elsevier, yesterday made a major acquisition strike, by acquiring three Australian companies that provide tender information to firms wanting to win a slice of the $40 billion worth of contracts awarded each year.
Reed Elsevier, a A$15 billion company based in London, has several companies in Australia operating in the business-to-business information environments of legal, science, education, health, finance and construction.
Through its construction information division Reed Construction Data (formerly Cordell), the company has acquired Australian Tender Centre, Tenderseek.biz and TTiGroup.
Mostly for competitive reasons, the number of firms awarding contracts for goods and services through the tender process will increase significantly in the years ahead
said Rob Wild, Managing Director of Reed Construction Data. And we want to share in that growth through the provision of vital bidding information. Our new businesses are well established firms and well placed to make the most of this growth opportunity
, he said. These acquisitions will consolidate our position as Australia's leading provider of market intelligence and bring to fruition a growth and diversification strategy that the company embarked on some time ago
Wild added.
Utilizing expertise gained over 35 years in data capture and dissemination, Reed will provide its customers with more dynamic information, increasing their chances of success in the bidding market. Through these acquisitions, we will be offering new web-based software that will deliver timely and more relevant tender intelligence than is currently on the market
said Audrey Coutinho-Anand, the General Manager of the new group.
The three companies will continue to trade from their present locations in Melbourne and the Gold Coast, offering tender information covering all of Australia and New Zealand. They will operate under the name of Reed Information Services.
Recently, Reed Elsevier acquired a similar tender notification business in Italy.
